Old Trunk Lock Picked Open by All City Locksmith of Rancho Cucamonga. However, we did not make a key because the lock was too old. This is a large and heavy suitcase, very high quality and well made. Thick hide is used on every side of the case except for the large flat bottom, which is also genuine leather. Check the picture below carefully and you can see how dramatic some of the leather really is! The lock is in very good condition and strong. There are two brass locks which will latch, but there is no key. The three opening sides also have solid brass dowels. The bottom has small metal feet and one is missing. There is an old United States Customs label on one side but there isn’t a date on it. I believe this is from the 1920’s to 30’s based on the style. This may have been made in Italy or other European country or in the U.S., I’m not sure. The interior has a large pocket and leather straps in the lid and bottom. This is very old with signs of use, including a few scuffed areas and a couple small areas of the edge stitching which are worn or broken but not coming apart. This is a fantastic display item and extremely hard to find. A rare collectible piece!
